Workspaces

Understand personal and team workspaces.

A workspace is your creative home on Stepsies — where your guides live, your brand identity is defined, and your audience finds you.

What is a workspace?

Think of a workspace like a studio. It’s where you:

  • Create and organize your guides
  • Define your brand (name, avatar, theme, colors)
  • Build your public profile (stepsies.com/@yourworkspace)
  • Track analytics and engagement

Every Stepsies user has at least one workspace. Your workspace handle (@yourworkspace) appears in all your guide URLs and on your public profile.

Personal workspaces

When you sign up for Stepsies, you automatically get a personal workspace. This is your individual creative space.

  • The team brand appears on all guides (not individual creators)
  • URLs are stepsies.com/@teamhandle/guide-title
  • All team members see and can edit all guides

Common questions

Can I convert my personal workspace to a team workspace?

When you upgrade to a Team plan, you create a new team workspace. Your personal workspace remains separate — you’ll have access to both. You can then recreate or move your guides to the team workspace.

Can I be in multiple workspaces?

Yes! You can: - Have your own personal workspace (always) - Be a member of one or more team workspaces (if invited)

You can switch between workspaces from the sidebar in your dashboard.

What happens to my guides if I leave a team?

Guides belong to the workspace, not individuals. If you leave a team workspace: - Guides you created stay with the team - You lose access to those guides - Your personal workspace and guides are unaffected

Who can invite new team members?

Workspace owners can invite new members. When you create a team workspace, you become the owner. Owners can also transfer ownership to another member.

Can I have a custom domain on a personal workspace?

No, custom domains are only available for team workspaces on the Team plan. Your personal workspace will always use stepsies.com/@yourhandle.
